On June 26-28, 2018, Toulouse Space Show was held in Toulouse Convention Center, France. As the main guest, China Space Administration was invited to participate in the exhibition. During the exhibition, a special topic was arranged for the China-France Ocean Satellite Round Table. Academician Jiang Xingwei, director of the National Satellite Ocean Application Center, was entrusted by the National Space Administration of China to speak on behalf of the Chinese side.

China-France Ocean Satellite (CFOSAT) is the first satellite developed jointly by China and France. It will be the first time to realize large-scale synchronous joint observation of ocean surface winds and waves in the world. It has been included in the International Space Climate Observing Platform. It will improve our ability of ocean and meteorological forecasting and our understanding of climate change. It will also be used in marine scientific research. Marine disaster prevention and mitigation, navigation safety and other aspects play an important role, and land surface parameters can be observed, which has broad application prospects.
