Successful Launch of China's First Ocean Salinity Detection Satellite
At 6:42 November 14th, China has successfully launched the Ocean Salinity Detection Satellite using the Long March 4B carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. This satellite is China's first remote sensing satellite dedicated to obtaining ocean salinity information, filling the gap in China's spaceborne ocean salinity detection technology and improving the marine satellite observation system. The ocean salinity detection satellite can meet the urgent needs of users in multiple industries such as ocean, agriculture and rural areas, disaster reduction and meteorology for the application of global ocean salinity data. It has significant milestone significance.
Successful Launch of the New Generation Ocean Color Observation Satellite
At 11:55 November 16th, China has successfully launched the new generation ocean color observation satellite using the Long March 2C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. This marks the official upgrade of China's ocean color series satellite to the second generation observation system, significantly enhancing China's capability to observe the information of global ocean color environmental elements.
Successful Organization of Satellite-to-ground Data Transmission Link Docking Test for Ocean Salinity Detection Satellite
Recently, National Satellite Ocean Application Service successfully organized a satellite-to-ground data transmission link docking test for ocean salinity detection satellite at Hainan Ocean Satellite Ground Receiving Station (Lingshui Station).
